Winter wonderland hits Covent Garden and Oxford Street

Snow snow, go away, come again another day…The snow and freezing temperatures sure didn’t keep the last-minute shoppers away this weekend. In fact, the West End was lit up with beautiful Christmas lights to raise shoppers’ spirits. Our boutiques doors (Covent Garden, above) in the West End were open day and night.

Rudolph with his bright red nose was the centrepieces in the Covent Garden marketplace. Day or night, he guides Santa’s sleigh and keeps us from getting lost in the last-minute shopping frenzy. If he’s not there Christmas Eve, you’d know why!

Narnia’s Lion and an oversize present greets when we reach Oxford Street. If Santa and his reindeers can’t cope with Britain’s snow this year, I wonder if the Lion will join the squad…

Finally, we found a quiet place to relax at the corner of the Royal Opera House. Shh, we’re not alone; apparently, it’s also a secret hideaway for ballerinas looking for shopping respite. (Erase paste, all the way!)
