Strutting down Bene-memory lane…A LOOK back at 2010

.
There’s only a day left in 2010, and here at Bene-HQ, we’re feeling just a tad bit nostalgic about how quickly the year whizzed by! We drove, strolled, perused, read, and strutted down the streets of London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Dublin, Brighton, and more, and all to the tune of Bene-fun and charm.  Find above and below some of our highlight events and exhibitions in 2010. Above, the models at the LOOK Show turned heads courtesy of our Head Make-Up Artist Lisa Potter-Dixon and her talented team. It’s amazing to watch the Benefit team create the make-up look for the runways!

Our Crescent Row fragrance line was the talk of the town this year with the addition of three new gals on the block. It was a red carpet event when we welcomed Rita, Eva, and Carmella to the family at Somerset House in London Fashion Week. The veterans welcomed the newbies by taking them on a walking tour of London (no bike tour this year, maybe Somerset House ice-skating in the winter, though…).

We took a break from walking and took a spin in our Bene-bus and our Benefit Suzuki Swift, both fit for a modern Bene-Princess. Our Bene-bus greeted fans in Cardiff, Brighton, Liverpool, Chelmsford, and more, as it embarked on a country tour. This year, we also partnered with Suzuki to design a car (worth over £13,000) fit for a modern Bene-Princess. The Benefit Suzuki Swift (given away to one lucky fan!) was one of the highlights of the CLOTHES SHOW LIVE, Birmingham. These wheels were designed to suit the needs of our modern gal, navigating through life’s bumps and bruises with style and pizzazz, while still looking fab!

Admittedly, we were a bit tired from all that driving, so opted for a literary challenge and invited our all-time favourite author Sophie Kinsella to our boutique. She was so kind and even signed copies of her latest book, Mini Shopaholic for fans. We put our culinary skills to the test and baked cupcakes with mini-mini shopaholic books on top!

.

Last, but certainly not least, we’re still recovering from the previously mentioned CLOTHES SHOW LIVE, Birmingham, where our very own Celebrity Make-Up Artist Rachel Wood created the backstage make-up look for the extravagant fashion theatre show. There were lots of liquid eyeliner, smoky eyes, and pink and red pouty lips. Prrrowl, Magic Ink, BADGAL, and Girl Meets Pearl were popular products that kept disappearing backstage…
To sum it all up, ladies and gents, we’ve had a whirldwind year, and this was just a small sample! And, to think, the New Year is right around the corner…!! Thank you all for sharing with us these wonderful Bene-memories, and we look forward to more next year.  xxx
