We were lucky to have Maggie and Annie, daughters/nieces of Benefit co-founders Jean and Jane Ford with us last week in the UK and Ireland. They brought along one of their favourite products, the Porefessional, with them on a tour of London!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream at the London Eye…even on a (so typical) dreary rainy British day. As long as the very colourful ice cream truck doesn’t back into that very nasty puddle of water, our two American visitors were free to enjoy their dessert after an eventful day of sightseeing (and avoiding the rain).
There were no protesters in sight in front of the very vibrant Parliament Square and Big Ben that afternoon. But, they did spot lots of students and visitors alike touring the Westminster area, marking the start of the summer tourist season.
What tour of London doesn’t include the iconic red telephone booth (and a double-decker bus)? We decided that a picture with the stationary telephone booth would be a lot safer than one with the double-decker bus. Maggie and Annie really wanted to bring one back with them to America, but alas, the river boats refused to allow one onboard. They’re all about smart phones these days!
We hope you enjoyed these pictures! We’ll be sharing with you more pictures of Maggie and Annie’s grand tour in our next couple of posts. In the meantime, don’t forget to take your brolly with you wherever you go this summer. Unfortunately, not all of us are able to look as model-esque as the dynamic duo when the rain starts pouring…
