Our amazing weekend at Bestival!

Were finally back at Benefit HQ after what can only be described as an amazing, tiring, surreal and magical weekend at the final festival of the summer, Bestival.

We’ve had laughs, the longest Jenga battle in history, some of us were even bridesmaids at a wedding in an inflatable church, all topped of with the one of the greatest artists of all time, Stevie Wonder, taking the stage!

It’s fair to say that Bestival is a place where anything goes, so when we heard this years theme was ‘wildlife’ we took a little inspiration from the animal print packaging of Coralista, the butterflies and birds from Crescent Row and thought back to a long forgotten Benefit product Glamazon, and created our very own Glamazonia, an aztec pink palace hidden in the depth of the rainforest… Benefit style of course!

Our team of 20 Benebabes (and boys) rocked up the very sunny Isle of Wight wednesday night ready to get stuck into the festival. We were of course on hand to help you keep glam all weekend, offering 3 gorgoeus wildlife looks, Leopard, Peacock and Butterfly!

But thats not all! Our Glamazonian garden was packed full of fun and games! With prizes to be won the Jenga, Connect 4 and Ker Plunk battles got pretty intense… but when there’s prizes like £500 worth of Benefit at stake, there’s all to play for!

Once Saturday rolled around the wildlife theme was out in full force, as festival fans got ready for the fancy dress parade! Best cosume each year wins a lifetime ticket to the festival so it’s fair to say some of the looks we saw at Glamazonia were a bit of a walk on the wild side!

Saturdays are of course not just a time for a festival… they’re also a traditional day for a wedding! And seeing as you can do pretty much anything at Bestival, why not get married… at an inflatable church!

Christina and Thom (who built our gorgeous Glamazonia) have been together 10 years and decided to take the plunge whilst enjoying the festival. Of course we made sure Christina had her very own celebrity make up artist in the form of Lisa Potter-Dixon and that she had plenty of Benebabe help to make up her bridesmaid numbers!

And by Sunday it was time to pack up Glamazonia and say goodbye to Bestival… but not before the Benebabes took some time out to see the wonderful Stevie Wonder!!! The Benefit Lisa’s, were in particular, a little bit emotional to see the great man himself live!

So after another year at Bestival and more stories than we have time to tell you (what happens on the island, stays on the island…) it was time to pack up our bags and make our way back to Benefit HQ to plan our next big Bene-adventure… well after a good snooze!
