London Fashion Week 2012: Matthew Williamson and Benefit Cosmetics

This London fashion week we had the absolute pleasure of working with one of fashions most acclaimed British designers: Matthew Williamson. Here are the Benefit Cosmetics PR team with Matthew.

Taking place on the 16th September with a somewhat star studded turn out; Olivia Palermo & David Gandy were but a few of the front row A-list.

The show was a sensational mix of sun shimmered beauty & fresh faced flushes. A perfect statement for spring / summer 2013, when one would hope we get to embrace more sunshine and brightening rays… if not we can look to our threads!

Top Model of the moment Cara Delevinge pictured here (with our very own Lisa Potter-Dixon, head make-up and trend artist [&brow expert])opened the anniversary show poised, smouldering & elegantly dressed in silk shorts and a dip –dyed indigo jacket.

For 15 years Matthew’s collections have wowed audiences at LFW and this show was no exception an all-encompassing mix of colour, vibrancy and embellished decadence.  The show described by many as a ‘celebration’ of his iconic statement colour combinations and Indian influences of the 90’s.  The venue perfectly decorated with strings of light and floral twists immersing the spectator into the very heart of a warm and fragrant summer.

The noted dewy complexion of the models was created by make-up artist Maria Comparetto who worked closely with Lisa Potter-Dixon. Maria describes the look “as a very beautiful and fresh faced make- up look for summer, with a modern sultry twist; it is accessible and illuminates any skin type.”

The key look has been credited by many; this down to the creative flair of our team however, also the unique quality of the products. The products produce a wearable finish that brings forth the beauty of the individual. As Lisa Potter-Dixon, head make-up & trend Artist (&brow expert) states: “for me, the look we created really represented what Benefit and Matthew are all about, enhancing a women’s natural beauty.”

Matthew Williamson & Benefit formed a perfect partnership this year and created a landscape of fresh yet sultry beauty; A bold and powerful sentiment that reflects both the Williamson brand and the essence of Benefit Cosmetics.
