This March, Benefit Cosmetics will be touring universities across Ireland to raise awareness and vital funds for charity!
Benefit Cosmetics wants to help to raise money for those affected by abuse, which is why we’re delighted to announce our partnership with Women’s Aid. For one week leading up to International Women’s Day on March 9th 2013 our Irish Benebabes will load up the Benebus and tour the country, stopping at five universities, offering complimentary goodies, giving make-uppers, shaping brows and minds with our Bene-philosophy.
The Universities Include:
Margaret Martin, Director, Women’s Aid, says:
“Women’s Aid is delighted to work with Benefit Cosmetics Ireland as they start their Benefit University Tour. We welcome this opportunity to raise awareness of abuse of young women by those closest to them. In a national survey on domestic abuse, almost 60% of people who had experienced severe abuse in intimate relationships experienced the abuse for the first time under the age of 25. Women’s Aid is encouraged by the support of Benefit’s University Tour as a way to reach as many young women as possible and to raise much needed funds for the Women’s Aid National Freephone Helpline.”
Julie Strang, Country Manager Benefit Cosmetics Ireland, says: “At Benefit we share the belief that it is every woman’s fundamentalright to feel safe. We hope our University Tour will engage with and inspire young women who may feel confused, vulnerable or at risk. With games, make-uppers and fun activities we will bring Benefit’s unique style to each campus and raise essential funds which will help Women’s Aid continue their imperative work here in Ireland.”
Women’s Aid responds to over 11,000 calls annually on their National Freephone Helpline (1800 341 900), which operates 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. email@example.com
